About ReliaCraft

Who We Are

ReliaCraft is a family owned and operated finish carpentry business that was established in 2004. We work on various types of projects ranging from small repair jobs to large production-type commercial projects.

Most of our work is performed on residential and commercial job sites; however, we also have an office and workshop in Tampa, which allows us the space to design and fabricate most types of custom projects.

What Drives Us

We are artists at heart. We love designing and building interesting things for good people. We love variety and we love to be challenged.

ReliaCraft customers have come to expect top-quality craftsmanship from us, which pushes us to always do the best job possible. Performing quality work and completing unique projects that exceed our customers' expectations is our primary drive.

My Story

Although my company was originally established in 2004, I started in the residential and commercial construction industry long before. My history, over the last 17 years, has allowed me to turn my knowledge, experience, and passion into ReliaCraft.

As a teenager, I started my first job working for a residential and commercial floor covering installer. I worked with professionals that taught me how to properly install all types of flooring including carpet, VCT, linoleum, carpet tile, laminates, wood, and tile. Also, I learned that I loved getting dirty, working with my hands, and getting things done; it was rewarding to me.

Upon moving to Tampa in 1999, I began working for a property maintenance company where I started painting interior and exterior surfaces and performing general handyman type home repairs. As the years passed, I learned how to install doors, windows, cabinetry, countertops, wall tile, shower floors, electrical fixtures, plumbing fixtures, drywall, and more.

Eventually, I gained enough experience to work competently without supervision and I started taking on small side jobs after hours and on weekends. I was fortunate to have a boss that allowed me to borrow his tools and work truck to work on my side projects. More importantly, my boss spent numerous hours with me discussing the ins-and-outs of the business. I began acquiring my own tools and I purchased a used work van. Within a year I started my own business, then called 'Residential Renovations'.

Word of mouth spread as I continued to work steadily at building my reputation. I priced my quotes competitively, performed quality work, and worked hard at keeping my customers happy; in turn they provided me with a steady stream of work. I continually invested in tools, equipment, and vehicles to make sure we had the right tools to keep up with the ever expanding work load. I also invested in some new woodworking shop tools and equipment to build cabinetry and other custom projects, something that has always been a passion of mine.

Soon after, I shifted the company focus onto custom projects; utilizing my creativeness and passion for woodworking, project design, and fabrication. In order to highlight my skills and craftsmanship and to set my business apart from the other typical remodeling contractors, I changed the business name to 'ReliaCraft'.

ReliaCraft is continuing to grow. We have settled into a new workshop space, acquired another work truck and tools, and started fabricating custom polished concrete countertops. I also designed this website and developed an online billing center, bringing ReliaCraft into the modern era, providing my customers with online access to quotes, invoices, and electronic payment methods.

I have plans for future expansion and as long as ReliaCraft continues to attract good customers, as we have been so fortunate to do in the past, we will be around for a long time to come.
